The 4 coordinating onco-ERNs have expressed interest to continue the collaboration between the ERNs and the UK

The letter called "Continue the collaboration of rare cancers with European reference networks after Brexit" has been published in the Lancet

The UK left the European Union officially this year affecting the membership status of the UK healthcare providers involved in European References Networks.

The 4 onco-coordinating ERNs, Prof. Jean-Yves Blay (European Reference Network-EURACAN), Prof. Pierre Fenoux (European Reference Network – EuroBloodNet), Prof. Ruth Ladenstein (European Reference Network -PaedCan) and Prof. Nicoline Hoogerbrugge (European Reference Network -Genturis) have redacted a letter called "Continue the collaboration of rare cancers with European reference networks after Brexit".

The letter published in The Lancet newsletter states the importance of maintaining the relationship between ERNs and UK centres for ongoing collaborations.
