We are very glad to annonce that ERN-EurobloodNet Coordination team has been expanded with the incorporation of two new persons!

Rima Bayoud Benferhat is based in AP-HP Hôpital Saint Louis, Paris, together with ERN-EuroBloodNet coordinator, Prof. Pierre Fenaux, and ERN-EuroBloodNet manager, Mariangela Pellegrini. Rima is the new ERN-EuroBloodNet clinical research manager

"I am Rima BAYOUD-BENFERHAT veterinarian, virologist and passionate by scientific research, I have been working on the development of a vaccine against HIV during the PhD. Wishing to continue in this perspective of helping patients, I turned to clinical research, first in virology and then in oncology. This experience allowed me to be close to patients, an experience that marked the course of my life. To day, I have the honour of working within the EuroBloodNet association, which help patients, and by integrating clinical research into its activities, for which I am responsible, EuroBloodNet try to find ways to relieve and treat these rare diseases."

Julia Dominika Zajac is based in Hôpital ERASME, together with ERN-EuroBloodNet co-coordinator, Prof. Béatrice Gulbis. Julia is the new ERN-EuroBloodNet CPMS and e-Learning manager.

“My name is Julia Dominika Zajac, I am a Medical Biotechnologist with a Doctoral degree in Medical Sciences, specialized in development of immunotherapies and molecular biology assays for research, industry and medicine. I have international working experience for profit and non-for-profit organizations in the field of Life Sciences, clinical trials and IT, in Poland, UK, Germany, Canada, Belgium and Australia, including almost two years as co-manager of a research unit in the biggest CRO for applied science in Europe - Fraunhofer Society. These 6 years of acquiring multidisciplinary experience, while working as a scientist, project manager and representative in pharmaceutical, academic and medical environments, taught me how to recognize the needs of patients and discover ways to improve their health and quality of life. By joining the EuroBloodNet as a CPMS and e-Learning Manager, I would like to devote my energy and passion for innovative technologies to increase the visibility and use of this virtual clinic platform among health professionals, and therefore also to promote the equal access to diagnostic tools and therapies for patients suffering from rare blood disorders across the borders. My other priority is to spread the knowledge about RBDs by developing an e-Learning platform for patients and health professionals, not only to raise awareness but also to compile the information about the current clinical management strategies, cutting-edge diagnostics and therapeutic solutions.”

Welcome to the team!
