The European Rare dIsease research Coordination and support Action (ERICA) aims to establish a structural framework in support of the research activities of the ERNs through the seven working packages defined within the project. The Clinical trial support and coordination is the topic addressed in WP4.
In 2018, the ERICA's WP4 team distributed a survey aiming to analyse the status quo of ERNs and Clinical Research. Seeking to provide a more comprehensive state-of-the-art about this topic a second survey has been launched recently!
Conducting trials and research is getting more and more complex and the EU is slowly falling behind other economic areas, especially for rare diseases. Is it bureaucracy, lack of collaboration or something else? Please fill out the survey so that all ERNs combined can push our problems on the agenda of other stakeholders including payers, pharma regulators and EMA.
