Next 29th of February 2023 will be celebrated the Rare Disease Day 2024 around the world! The aim of this day is to raise global awareness amongst the general public and decision-makers about rare diseases and their impact on patients' lives.
Among the actions organized by EURORDIS and 65+ national alliance patient organisation partners, an official video of this Rare Disease Day edition has been launched in over 40 languages to kick off the international patient-led campaign.
The 2024 video shines a light on the diverse community of over 300 million people living with a rare disease!
Moreover, the Rare Disease Day team has led to your disposition, material and handbooks you can use to build awareness by:
- sharing your colours via social media (#RareDiseaseDay and #LightUpforRare), events, illuminating buildings, monuments and homes
- shining the light on people living with a rare disease
- sharing experiences online and with friends
- calling on policymakers
